OMEGA supplies rapid,top quality translation services to companies all over the world in all the main European and non-European languages.

All translations are carried out by expert professional linguists, all of them native speakers of the project target language. Translation domains include technical and commercial literature, legal documents, IT, scientific reports and advertising.

Translations can be delivered using several methods (e-mail, via the reserved area of our website, FTP, file sharing services, Dropbox, etc.) and inthe formats required by the customer.

MTPE è l’acronimo di Machine Translation Post-Editing. Si tratta di un processo ibrido (macchina-uomo) in cui il testo viene tradotto da un software di intelligenza artificiale o motore automatico (MT) e successivamente revisionato e corretto (Post-Editing) da un traduttore umano professionista

Vantaggi: unisce la rapidità della macchina alla precisione linguistica del traduttore umano e consente al Cliente un risparmio economico.

Due opzioni possibili: LIGHT o FULL

I testi e le finalità delle traduzioni non sono equivalenti:

• Light post-editing – lo scopo di questa modalità è rendere il testo comprensibile e grammaticalmente corretto, senza focalizzarsi sulla perfezione stilistica. È l’opzione ideale per corrispondenza, contenuti interni e alcune tipologie di manuali tecnici, ma non prevede la coerenza terminologica. L’intervento di controllo è meno approfondito e quindi risulta più rapido. Non è adatto per traduzioni stilistiche, giuridiche, cataloghi pubblicitari o testi molto specialistici, creativi e letterari.

• Full post-editing – Con questa opzione, pur sempre ibrida, ci si avvicina maggiormente alla qualità finale della traduzione umana. Si verifica anche l’aspetto stilistico, comunicativo e terminologico ed è adatto a traduzioni di carattere pubblicitario, legale specialistico. Questo processo richiede l’impiego di maggior tempo ma il risultato finale raggiunge quasi quello della traduzione umana.

Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, ImageReady) – PageMaker, Office suite (Excel – Word – PowerPoint) and other applications on request.

Computer aided translation tools (CATs) allow rational organisation of translations carried out in the past for individual customers, facilitating consistent use of company-specific terminology. CAT tools rely exclusively on the use of internal translation memories created from the texts produced by our translators and stored in our internal database.
OMEGA’s CAT tool of choice is Déjà Vu, a powerful application that’s fully compatible with the most widely used translation tools in the industry, including Trados SDL.
