OMEGA supplies rapid,top quality translation services to companies all over the world in all the main European and non-European languages.

All translations are carried out by expert professional linguists, all of them native speakers of the project target language. Translation domains include technical and commercial literature, legal documents, IT, scientific reports and advertising.

Translations can be delivered using several methods (e-mail, via the reserved area of our website, FTP, file sharing services, Dropbox, etc.) and inthe formats required by the customer.

MTPE stands for Machine Translation Post-Editing. It is a hybrid process (machine + human) in which a text is first translated by an artificial intelligence system or machine translation (MT) engine and then reviewed and corrected (post-editing) by a professional human translator.

Benefits: It combines the speed of machine translation with the linguistic accuracy of a professional translator, while offering clients a cost-effective solution.

Two available options: LIGHT or FULL

The purpose and intended use of the translations differ depending on the option selected:

Light Post-Editing – The goal of this option is to produce a text that is clear, understandable, and grammatically correct, without focusing on stylistic refinement. It is the ideal choice for correspondence, internal documents, and certain types of technical manuals, but it does not guarantee terminological consistency. As the review process is less comprehensive, it is faster and more economical. It is not suitable for marketing or creative content, legal translations, advertising catalogs, or highly specialized, literary, or stylistically demanding texts.

Full Post-Editing – Although still a hybrid process, this option delivers a result that comes much closer to the quality of a fully human translation. In addition to correcting errors, the translator reviews the text for style, readability, consistency, and terminology, making it suitable for marketing, legal, and other specialized content. This process requires more time, but the final result is comparable to that of a professional human translation.

Computer aided translation tools (CATs) allow rational organisation of translations carried out in the past for individual customers, facilitating consistent use of company-specific terminology. CAT tools rely exclusively on the use of internal translation memories created from the texts produced by our translators and stored in our internal database.
OMEGA’s CAT tool of choice is Déjà Vu, a powerful application that’s fully compatible with the most widely used translation tools in the industry, including Trados SDL.
