Founded in Modena (Italy) in 1990, Omega di Gatti S. e Giavelli S. Snc provides a broad range of highly professional language services, including translations and interpreting into and from MOST LANGUAGES where Italian is the source or target language, desktop publishing in Windows and Macintosh, language consultancy, the editing of manuals, typesetting and proof-reading.

Our customer base includes companies in various industrial sectors throughout Italy and abroad. Locally, we have worked successfully for many years with leading companies in ceramics, with important manufacturers of plant, automation systems, transport lines, packaging plant and with law firms, advertising agencies, and so on. Outside Italy, we continue to co-operate with many translation and interpreting centres, providing them with a range of services.

To further guarantee quality, we work exclusively with translators skilled in their field, working in their mother tongue.

For some years now, Omega has been a member of Federcentri (Italian National Federation of Translation and Interpreting Centres), established in 1993 with the aim of bringing together all the translation and interpreting centres in Italy. The primary goal of the Association is to pool resources and enhance the professional abilities of language service companies. Feder.Cen.Tr.I. is also a promoter and founding member of E.U.A.T.C (European Union of Associations of Translation Companies).

Omega has achieved certification of its quality system based on ISO 9001:2008 standard. In addition to representing a prestigious goal (awarded by TÜV Italia – an accredited certification body officially recognized both in Italy and in Europe), this certification commits us to greater responsibility towards customers and provides us with appropriate tools for the continuous monitoring of translators and interpreters, service punctuality and customer satisfaction. Our staff

A team of interpreting and communication specialists is at your disposal. Our staff (permanent and freelance) consists of expert mother-tongue translators and skilled interpreters, most of them translation/interpreting graduates. Their education and cultural training is backed up by years of professional experience in the language field.

Dedication, speed, precision, dynamism and efficiency are the distinguishing features of the professional services provided by our translators, interpreters and proof-readers.

Initial selection procedures aimed at establishing the skills of our language staff involve the evaluation of curriculum-vitae/resumes, cross-checking references and a written test. Our collaborators’ performance is constantly monitored and reviewed on an annual basis.
